The Wedding
Giftpile: With everything on a wedding planning to-do list, what were your Top 3 most important aspects of the wedding planning you focused on? Why?
Michelle: The bar for the reception, flowers, and choosing the dj (music) can make it or break it.
Giftpile: Did you learn any cost-saving tips while you were planning your wedding?
Michelle: Actually, I’m pretty lucky in the industry I work (I do hair … having 15 more weddings to do this year)… Lots of connections and I used them. For instance, for my open bar, I had a bar owner buy the alcohol at his cost.
Giftpile: Did you have to avoid any wedding disasters? Or was it smooth sailing because you thought ahead creating preventative measure?
Michelle: My wedding was smooth sailing. I made sure to be organized and to save everything!! Yes… since I’m Catholic and he’s not, we got married outside. But I wore a cathedral veil, my rosary wrapped around my hand with my bouquet, had the unity cup and one of the readings was a prayer. Short and sweet, but beautiful and had some of my meaningful traditions. Also, my sister obtained an officiant license and married us!
The Honeymoon
Giftpile: How did you decide on Cabo?
Michelle: Decided on Cabo, because I had been there before, love the weather, the all-inclusive is not expensive there and I didn’t want to have to sight-see, just relax!
Giftpile: Were there any “Sexy/Romantic Things - a Must Do while on Your Honeymoon” you planned / did?
Michelle: Nothing sexy-omantic planned. Brought outfits of course, but actually it was just being married and using the terms “husband and wife” that were sexy!
Giftpile: What is a “Must Do” in Cabo? What was just “Eh-No big deal if you missed it!” kind of sightseeing or activities in Cabo?
Michelle: Go to downtown and experience true Cabo… even the cheesy nightclubs! A restaurant I love is Mi Casa and do the parasailing, snorkeling, etc. Can’t really think of anything not to do.
Giftpile: Was was your favorite thing to eat in Cabo?
Michelle: Love the Guac in Cabo!!
Giftpile: Would you recommend any of the companies you used to tour around, sight see, or experience (stay at the same hotel, for instance) if you went back to Cabo?
Michelle: I would highly recommend Dreams resorts, there’s a couple of them! Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, etc. And I would recommend, giftpile for sure. Best thing I did!
